Pile load testing is carried out to assess the performance of constructed piles on site and can be used to verify design assumptions. Pile load testing has the potential to provide valuable feedback to pile designers about the load settlement behaviour of the test piles and how the measured values relate to the parameters and assumptions used in the pile design.
